Route One were initially contracted by Balfour Beatty to undertake bridge deck preparation, waterproofing and bridge joint replacement to the existing bridge deck and replacement bridge as part of the major bridge deck and structures refurbishment.

Once the project commenced, Route One were instructed to undertake a significant change to the scope of works by completing over 1000m2 of bridge deck repairs which also involved hydro-demolition and temporary works prior to the waterproofing installation. Route One managed to secure significant additional resources to ensure the programme deadlines were met.
