As part of its continuing commitment to improve its Environmental Footprint, Route One received its first four Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV’s) this week.

It is anticipated that all of its Company cars and Supervisor’s vans will be replaced by PHEV’s by the end of May.

Rob Thomas, Operations Manager and Lean Champion says: “The staff have been fully involved with the choice of colours and specification of the vehicles. Not only are the PHEV’s reducing Route One’s Carbon Footprint, they also offer substantial savings both to Route One and the driver in the form of reduced Company car tax.”
